Dana received her Doctorate at the City University of New York in the Speech and Hearing Sciences and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University in Queens, New York. Dana is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped in New York State. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Adelphi University. Dana has also worked as a Clinical Coordinator of Outreach Services at the Eden II/Genesis Program. She is a past president of the Long Island Speech Language Hearing Association. She is a black belt in Kempo Martial Arts.

This is a story of conquering fears and working through the obstacles life throws at us. Courage is found when times are bleak. Inspiration is discovered when thoughts are lost. Love is known when there is support in both the good and the bad days. Family and friends come together with love, faith, and hope..
